1. Zero Server Data Storage

QuickSplit operates entirely on your local web browser. We do not maintain any backend databases or cloud servers that store your transaction amounts, customer names, or merchant UPI IDs.

2. Local Storage (LocalStorage)

Your Business Name, Merchant UPI ID, and recent transaction history are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (`localStorage`) for your convenience so you don't need to re-enter them upon refresh. You can clear this data at any time via Settings or browser settings.

3. UPI Payments & Security

QuickSplit does not process or touch financial transactions directly. The app merely constructs standard NPCI UPI links (`upi://pay?...`) which are processed by registered Indian UPI applications (Google Pay, PhonePe, BHIM, Paytm, etc.). QuickSplit never asks for or handles banking PINs, OTPs, or passwords.
